Octogen Kettlebell Workshops

If you have been searching for a workout that will take your fitness and health to a new level then look no further!  Russian kettlebell training is a challenging and enjoyable workout that will give you great results in a time efficient manner.

Kettlebell training is relatively new to Australia so to get people started on the path to awesome strength, amazing fat loss and vital health, Octogen is running a series of kettlebell workshops for everyone from beginners to competitive athletes.

2 Day Instructor Course

This comprehensive 2 day course will teach you everything you need to know to teach and fault correct the fundamental kettlebell exrcises.

This course is ideal for personal trainers and strength coaches who want to use kettlebells with their clients and is also suitable for kettlebell enthusiasts that want a deeper understanding of kettlebell training.

The course has no fitness pre requisite although kettlebell experience is advised.  At the end of the course your ability to instruct kettlebell exercises will be tested with a practical and theory exam.

Level 1 Workshop

If you are new to kettlebells our level 1 workshop will teach you the fundamentals of kettlebell training and give you the tools to start working on your fitness goals.  This workshop is open to everyone and we suggest that anyone interested in kettlebell training starts here regardless of their current fitness experience.

The Level 1 workshop will cover

•        Kettlebell safety
•        Explanation of the benefits of Kettlebells
•        The swing, clean and snatch - kettlebell exercises for fat loss and cardio conditioning
•        Presses, deadlifts and core exercises - kettlebell exercises for strength and flexibility
•        How to plan your training with Kettlebells for endless variety and awesome results
•        Demonstrations of advanced kettlebell drills

At the end of the workshop you will have all the skills you need to start using Kettlebells in a fitness plan tailored to your individual goals.
 
Level 1 Womens only workshop
 
A complete introduction to kettlebell training with an emphasis on exercises for the female physique and tailored to the fitness goals of women.  Otherwise the workshop is essentially the same as our general level 1 workshop and delivers all the same benefits.

Level 2 Workshop

This workshop builds on the skills learnt in the Level 1 workshop to take you to a higher level of kettlebell training.  This workshop is ideal for anyone who wants to use Kettlebells for sports specific training or for building an elite level of fitness.

The Level 2 Workshop will cover

•        Review of Level 1 material
•        Advanced breathing techniques for power and endurance
•        High tension techniques for amplifying strength
•        More exercises for strength, flexibility and stamina.
•        How to integrate Kettlebells into your current training program for best effect
•        Introduction to further drills.

At the end of the Level 2 workshop you will have the skills and knowledge to tailor a kettlebell program to highly specific fitness goals.
